Evening,

Can anyone shed any light on the times the Monkeys have been opening their set on this european tour?

I've seen them in Manchester 07 and Dublin 09 and it was about 9 o clock they appeared.

Travelling over from the Isle of Man for a weekend in Barcelona for me old mans 50th and have tickets for the gig and the footy at the nou camp which has just been announced as an 8 o clock kick off on the saturday!! So having a bit of a dilemma, maybe half football to get up in time for start of gig.

Cheers.

I imagine they will be onstage around 9pm Barcelona time just like a concert in the UK etc.

I have the same dillema over the football - my Dad lives near Barcelona so I tend to get to three or four games a season. I expect they won't be on before 9:30pm - will get some indication the night before as I'm at the Madrid gig.
Considered doing the first half only (it's a category D game so tickets are as cheap as they get) and then getting a taxi up Montjuic. Not sure though - my just settle for watching the first half in a bar near Placa Espanya and then walk up to the venue.
Decisions, Decisions.....was really hoping the football would be Sunday but there's only been two Sunday home games all season which is unusual (all to do with TV no doubt). I'll try and post the Madrid times on here.
(If it's of any use I was at the Paris gigs in November and they came on at 9:30 both nights)

Thanks Buddy, I was thinking about first half then taxi. Really need to see distances from the stadium to the gig venue. 9.30 would be pretty much spot on if I do just watch the first half and get off. Yeah if you could post times that would be really helpful cheers.

About 15 minutes in a taxi from the ground to the venue (assuming fairly light traffic). Shouldn't have a problem posting the Madrid times.

How much does an average 15 min taxi journey cost in Barca? Im staying near the port side of La Ramblas and working out if its better to get the metro or a taxi to the venue.

Metro to Placa Espanya - walk it from there (just head up the hill - towards the National Palace - massive you can't miss it). Once there bear to your right and look for the Olympic Stadium - venue is next door around the back.

Well I've not long arrived back in the Isle of Man after flying from barcelona to gatwick to home!

Had an absolutely brilliant weekend, got to the gig in plenty of time after watching first half of football. All thanks to Blaugrana, so just like to say cheers mate all your help was appreciated.

The gig was superb, really really enjoyed it, hope everyone else who went had as good a time too!
