I highly doubt that Alex means 'lead vocals' and instead, some backing vocals, for several reasons, at least in dangerous animals.
1.- The DA we can hear at the secret door is the studio version and the few lines that were listenable are by Alex.
2.- None of the reviewers of the album has mentioned anything about Josh, something that would be very remarkable if we were indeed singing lead vocals.
3.- Why make 'so much' publicity of a song that's not sung by the singer of the band (they've been playing it in all their concerts)

so yeah... lol @ the romance part.
