Happy 2010!
Hello AMUK'ers welcome to my 1st blog of 2010 technically im lying im currently writing (or at the time) was on a train to Wales on Christmas Eve, well I hope you all got what you wanted from Santa unless you where on the naughty list and well you only had yourself to blame and try to be less naughty next year! Here's a new years present for those of you who dont already have it - Alex Turner & John Ashton performing 'Joining The Dots' acoustic session to download click here
So welcome to AMUK in 2010 hard to believe its almost coming up to 3 years since this site was first set up and its still good to see we have active members from the very start we must be doing something right!
Later this month the boys head out on tour around Europe and to our European members of the forum I want you to come and tell us all about the gig you go to – feel free to include all your pictures & videos too!
For those of you that arent sure how to embed YouTube videos – here's a handy little guide.
Some future news on the forum development – in the coming weeks we will be adding the much asked after Status Comments – this will include the ability to comment on other peoples Status Messages too – to find out more click here there will be more new features added with this update which I will update you all on in due course.
iPhone Skin
Some of you may have been aware that i installed an iPhone dedicated Skin to the forum, following some feedback and testing we have now tweaked this to be very a like browsing normally using your iPhone, feel free to try it out and provide us some more feedback
For those who didn't read my previous blog entry at the third time of writing it – I talked a little about some improvements made to our Gallery, Blogs and Downloads sections of the website these were mainly improvements rather than additional features a quicklist of new features would be
Friendly URL's in added to Gallery and Downloads which allows you to see what item it is from the URL
Being able to publish a Blog at a certain time and date (showed by this Blog entry)
Improved Slideshow in the gallery – We do also allow members to upload to our Gallery if you have some pictures that you are sure we don't have feel free to upload them (Please note we have to approve them before they are shown, this is purely just so we can ensure we don't already have the pictures) When uploading it is useful if you can give some basic details for instance
Alex Turner / Date / Performance / Location
It doesn't have to be all of these details but a couple of them at least please
I started this entry in Sheffield and im now finishing it off in Wales

Carl, I would just like to extend a massive thankyou to you, for having this forum and maintaining it as well as you do. You certainly have established a wonderful community here.
I think I speak on the behalf of many AMUK members when I say, ever since joining this forum, I've met so many nice people from around the globe and have been able to witness some of the most exciting things when it comes to Arctic Monkeys (and other things in music and the world, too).
Thanks for all your efforts and endless amounts of time spent on this forum, it's greatly appreciated by all.
And to the Mods and members who keep this site thriving as well, Happy New Years to all. This certainly will be a great year.

Thanks for this Athena, it is still refreshing to see comments like this and it reminds of the reason i strive to provide all i can when it comes to this site and Arctic Monkeys content in general!

Many thanks Jane, i cant believe how times flown since moving over to this forum almost 3 years ago!
